Dublin internship experience

My Dublin experience was a once in a life time opportunity that I enjoyed every aspect of. Dublin itself is a very metropolitan city with lots of history, art, and music surrounding you at all times. The city had lots to offer and there was never a dull moment where I was stuck to find something to do or a new place to explore. The city keeps you on your feet with something new happening every week and for the days where I needed a peaceful time I could easily access hiking trails, cliffs, waterfalls or even hop on a train and explore Ireland's beautiful countryside. My internship placement has taught me so many valuable skills that I will carry with me to future opportunities in life. I got the chance to work alongside a team of passionate co-workers that were very kind, welcoming, and were very willing to include me in all aspects of the organization. Also, the coordinators were a great support system to have throughout my 10 weeks spent in the city. They are very personable, caring, and were very quick to respond to any inquiries I had. I learned so much from the different people I have met throughout my time in Dublin and made lifelong friends that I look forward to seeing in the future. I would recommend anyone interested in an international experience with The Intern Group to go for it.

Best internship experience in Dublin

I am extremely happy I took part in this internship experience in Dublin through the Intern Group. I had an eight week internship which was a great opportunity, from which I feel like I have gained so much more than work experience from! The social aspect of taking part in this programme with the other interns made the trip worthwhile and I have made friends for life. The Dublin coordinators are extremely competent, friendly and approachable to any question or query anyone had and really contributed to making the internship more of an experience. I would highly recommended choosing Dublin as the place for an international internship and further the Intern Group as the best way to go!

Dublin

I had an amazing 10 weeks in Dublin both socially and professionally. I feel I have grown in various amounts of ways through the work I completed as well as the people I met. The program was extremely well run and I never felt confused or concerned. I was always informed what the next step was going to be. wOnce I got to Dublin, there was a variety of meet ups planned which helped me get to know all the other interns. It was an amazing experience that I would recommend to anyone.

Life changing internship program

From the amazing coordinators to the people I met in my program, the Dublin internship opportunity was a once in a life time experience. From the moment I met everyone I felt welcomed and comfortable. Our first orientation was thoroughly detailed and our coordinators answered every question we had! Our meet-ups really captured the spirit of Dublin and allowed us interns to get to know each other even more. My internship was exactly how it was described, and I'm so grateful to have that work experience under my belt. I would recommend this program to every person I talk to, it's one that should not be missed!

Internship group

This was a fantastic experience. When I paid for the 6 week internship, i thought that it would be too long and that i would be counting down the weeks until i got home. But it was not the case, in fact i dreaded leaving all of the friends i made during this internship. The coordinators made me feel at home and introduced all of Dublin to us. Fantastic experience!

Amazing abroad experience in Dublin

I loved this experience! Everyone was incredibly nice and Katlin and Iolanda were always available and happy to help with anything we might have needed. The social aspect of this trip was wonderful as well, and there were always options of things to do with the group. I loved staying at UCD and was very happy with the accommodations. I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone!

Dublin program

I have to say that these past six weeks were definitely the best times of my life. Coming from a small town in Arizona I really had no idea what to expect coming to Ireland, but the program coordinators and events made the transition very easy for me. I'm grateful I got to meet so many wonderful people that I will continue to keep in with even after this program is over. The work environment was very laid back , and if you have any questions feel free to confront your boss it because they understand that this is a learning experience for you. Although I did spend a good portion of my time outside of work in Dublin pubs, I advise anyone considering this program to explore the countryside and send it for the lads.

Intern group dublin

My 10 week internship with the intern group in Dublin was the best way I could have spent my summer. Since Dublin is a smaller city that has mountains and beaches on the outskirts of it, traveling around was fun and simple. Our program coordinators were amazing. They were very responsive with any problems and made sure that everyone was having a good time. I would change the comedy experience to the free one at the Stags Head. And having the accodamtion so far from UCD made hanging out with the June and July interns hard which was inconvenient once so many May interns left. My internship placement was absolutely perfect! My company let me really get involved and I had many things published on clients sites which was cool to see. I learned so much PR through this program. This summer was incredible thanks to the intern group and our coordinators, Iolanda and Katie!

Dublin - my new home.

Newly 18, unsure of where my life could take me, and a whole gap year waiting ahead. I had a million different ideas of how i wanted to spend it and only so many months to cram it all in. I wanted to work, travel, socialize and go on crazy instagram-worthy adventures. And most importantly, i wanted to become independent. I can't thank the Dublin Intern Group program enough for allowing me to do it all. My internship was incredible, amazing bosses, amazing colleagues, amazing environment. We even had a tag rugby work team that played against other companies. Even though rugby is definitely not my strong suit, i had so much fun running around like a maniac with people i now look at as my close friends. In the office, there was no grabbing coffee or stapling papers. It was always interactive and insightful tasks, social events and even driving to meetings with my boss in his super cool convertible BMW. I even got to meet the prime minister, the minister of health and multiple other politicians. You know you've done something right when he takes your hand and personally starts introducing you to everyone. Not going to lie, i felt like a bawse. We even joked becoming beach hippies and drop topping in LA (where i'm from), Enda Kenny you are a beast. Looking back, there are so many qualities and lessons that i had gained from working with that NGO that i can now bring to university and aid my success. On top of all that, the meetups organized outside of work by The Intern Group were so diverse and fun that you were never bored, from comedy nights to taking day trips across the country to the most beautiful natural landscapes like the cliffs of Moher. Wining, dining, laughing and wooing to our hearts content at drag shows, these were some of the best moments of my trip, and i got to share it with interns who are now friends for life. Not to mention, Dublin is only a cheap plane ride away from the rest of Europe. An intern and i casually decided to take a long weekend trip to Belgium 2 days in advance and get fappy (fat and happy) over waffles and chocolate. Crazy i know, but thats the beauty of interning in Dublin. I owe all of this to two incredible, talented, hard-working girls who run the Dublin program and made this all possible. Katie and Iolanda, you have continued to amaze me with all the fun meetups you organize and the amount of effort you put into making my experience the best it can be. I could write a whole review just on how much you girls have done for me and how much i love you. But all i'm going to say is, i think of you like my sisters and its because of you that i can't wait to book my next tickets back to Dublin. 4 months was not long enough. For all of you considering this program, with all my confidence i can say you will not regret it.

Exploration of the Green Isle

I have to say that traveling alone to a country I've never been to and joining the work force was very scary for me at first. However, once I arrived and met with my program coordinators I knew I was going to be alright. I couldn't have asked for a better placement or a better group of individuals to share my journey with out here in Dublin. The people in this program really care your time here and want you to take advantage of every sight you can see and thing you can do. I can't wait to come back to Dublin and see everyone from the program again.

The Dublin experience

"You are one decision away from a totally different life." - Mark Batterson

My internship experience has made me a completely different person, and I am better for it. The entire application process was straightforward and easy to complete. The intern group placed me in a fantastic company, and i was able to obtain invaluable skills and experience. The housing allowed me to live like a local in Dublin and truly experience the Irish culture and charm. The staff from the Intern group made me feel like family from the moment I stepped off the plane. When I chose to use to the Intern Group I had no idea the impact it would have on my life, but now I could not imagine my life without them. If you want an amazing and life changing experience tailor made for you, then the Intern Group is what you are looking for.

Health research intern

I had a fantastic experience in Ireland thanks to the efforts of the people at the Intern Group and Cystic Fibrosis Ireland. The program coordinators, at the Intern Group, were beyond helpful in finding an internship opportunity tailored to my preferences. They also organized several social and cultural events to ensure that I got the true Irish experience, rain or shine. The staff at Cystic Fibrosis Ireland were incredibly kind and willing to include you in all aspects of their work. In the mere 6 weeks I spent with them, I got the opportunity to publish a paper, compose a poster, attend a conference and a gala, assist with a TD (minister) photo-shoot, participate in awareness week, visit the CF clinics all over the country funded by CFI, meet patients, and shadow doctors and researchers. It was a good craic and I wish I could've stayed longer.
