Stint Ireland Reviews

Ireland may be one of the most beautiful countries in the world, and I got to work there! With the great support, and cozy housing provided by Stint I was prepared for living and working in Dublin.
Stint provided me with an opportunity to challenge myself by gaining vital experience at an animation distribution company while also learning to navigate a new country. I am proud to say I was able to successfully traverse the sometimes confusing streets of Dublin with ease by the end of my stay.
I value my experience with both Stint and the animation company and would highly recommend an internship abroad program.

2 months in Dublin just wasn't enough...

My time spent interning abroad is the most valuable way I have ever spent my summer. If I wouldn’t have had to return to the United States for college, I could have seen myself transitioning into living in Dublin. Stint Ireland was there for me throughout the whole process, from aligning me with the perfect company to intern with to continuously calming my nerves.
As someone that categorizes herself as an introvert that fears to step outside of her comfort zone, Stint was an excellent support system that made living abroad not seem so daunting. To only be a 10-minute walk away from the Stinit office is a huge comfort of mind. To help ease the transition of living in a foreign country, Stint organizes socials every other Thursday and several weekend trips. These events were great ways to meet with other individuals that were in your shoes. 2 months in Dublin just wasn't enough. I spent every weekend traveling around Ireland, taking recommendations from the Stint staff. I saw so much of the country, but by the time I packed up my bags to head home, I contracted the travel bug and needed to see more. My experience through Stint Ireland instilled in me a love of travelling and took the fear out of travelling abroad. I'm forever grateful for my time in Ireland and the Stint staff that made it possible. Make sure to make the most of your time, because you too will be leaving with the same feeling I did: 2 months in Dublin just wasn't enough...

I had a great time in Dublin, Ireland! One of the best summers that I have ever had. The experiences, friendships and memories I made will stay with me for the rest of my life. The internship I had was a wonderful learning experience and the responsibilities I was given gave me a lot of hands on experience I wouldn't have been able to get here in the United States.
The gap year that inspired my "gap" life

My time in Dublin with Stint was invaluable. After graduating college, I knew I wasn't ready to settle down in the States, so I decided to move to Ireland for a year with my best friend. I had travelled and studied abroad, but this was a completely new endeavour, that came with new experiences (finding an apartment, networking in a new market, purchasing health insurance, etc.). Stint made the transition easy and one of their team members was always available when I had a question or just wanted to meet up and chat over coffee.
Not only was Stint helpful in the process of applying for and acquiring the Irish Working Holiday Authorisation, but the support they provided once I arrived in Dublin was equally appreciated. The friends I met through Stint (both the program employees and fellow gap years) have played a huge part in my happiness the last 12 months and there is no doubt that the relationships and connections I formed while in Ireland are for life.
My experience in Ireland with Stint was so incredible that I plan to return to Dublin to complete a Masters degree in the near future. That is, after I complete another year-long working visa in New Zealand :)

Okay, I know you might be skeptical that I marked 10 on everything... well leave your reservations at the door. I had an incredible experience with Stint, my internship, and in Ireland. I had a very comfortable living situation and made friends easily with the other adventure hopefuls the program attracts. My work was meaningful and ultimately helped me secure a job in the industry in LA! It truly was an excellent experience and I recommend it to everyone I meet.
