Premier TEFL Reviews
240 hours TEFL expert
Submitted by Clare Suruki | January 12, 2018
I highly recommend this package of courses to other teachers. It was informative, useful, and well-written. I did all of these courses on my down-time in less than two weeks. I learned a lot and am already using the information in my classes although the quizzes were simple. The cost of this package was reasonable and affordable. I have added all of these certificates to my resume, but, most of all, I am satisfied with the content and hope to continue implementing what I've learned into my teaching. Thank you, Premier TEFL!

Not Thrilled, Bad Communication
Submitted by Elise Wright - Western Michigan University | January 04, 2018
I signed up last January for the India internship. I was originally told that I could start in the middle of December, which worked because I was doing another program, which ended on the 8th of December. I was later told that I had to start the first weekend of December, which obviously wouldn't work. So they said I could start the first weekend of January. I made plans to do a workaway in France for the rest of December and the beginning of January and I was told I had to be there on the 1st of January. When I said I had already made plans, they scolded me and said it took a lot of work for them to make arrangements for me. So I changed my plans in France. Finally, I was told I could do the program on a tourist visa. Then, a month before I was due to arrive they told me I needed to get a volunteer visa. I was unable to because I was in Europe and could only get one in the states. I understand that visa regulations change, but I feel like I was given wrong information in the first place. Then I was told I could do the program on a tourist visa, but had to change the airport I would land in in India. I was not comfortable doing that, since it seemed a little dodgy to me. They offered another internship program in Cambodia, but it didn't start until March and I had already made travel arrangements to India. So I backed out, since I feel like they were putting a large burden financial and logistical burden on me. I didn't get any money back since there cancellation policy doesn't cover visa issues. I feel like there was a lot of bad communication and a little bit of dishonesty. I feel a little duped and taken advantage of, and I honestly do not trust this company. I received a few TEFL certificates from them, which was fine, but you have to pay to get the certificates. I am not impressed and I would not recommend them, even if they are super cheap.

Hi Elise, I’m sorry to read your review of your India internship application. When the visa legislation changed we tried our best to find a solution for you; unfortunately, when unforeseen visa and government changes happen it can have a disappointing result for anyone traveling. Our partner in India also did everything possible from their side to accommodate you. The details were complicated and maybe you felt overwhelmed, we understand that. There was no dishonesty at any point whatsoever, it’s not our company culture or policy. We happily provided you with the letter you requested in order to claim on your travel insurance; and genuinely tried to alleviate your situation. It was stressful, I know and very sad that the trip that you planned didn’t happen. We all felt that disappointment for you too. For your certificate, you can download your TEFL certificate for free from your dashboard – or you can request a hard copy from us at an extra cost which includes P
Better than my first TEFL course

I enrolled in a TEFL course earlier this year and almost finished half-way through it but because of my schedule and travel and such, I couldn't finish it. Now, I'm planning to live in another country for one year and had wanted to get certified to teach. I did some research online for a other courses and I came across Premier TEFL. The way they have setup the course is way easier to understand than the first course I enrolled in! I love it. I actually WANT to study, whereas before it felt like a chore. I like the Reflection section they have and the activity examples. I'm not in a teaching environment yet so it really helps me to visualize what it will be like when I get there. Not to mention, I'm taking a 240-hour course to include learning how to teach business professionals, young learners, and students needing to take English exams. It's a lot of hours but they make it easy to extend my time if I need to (I've already added an extra month, just in case!) Bottomline, coming from someone who has tried two different companies now, I recommend this company. Plus, the price is great for what they offer.

Highly recommended course

I took the 120-hours Advanced Online TEFL course during the summer and I studied the module during my free time off work and university, and I found the 3-month limit given to complete the course was plenty time. I had taken EFL training in the past and had a brief experience in teaching EFL to adults, and this TEFL training helped refresh some things I knew already but also enrich my knowledge in a new and exciting way making me feel more prepared and confident teaching. I haven't sought job advice with them (at least not yet) so I cannot comment on it, but from the little general communication I had with them on the matter, they sounded more than willing to help with anything.

My friend recommended this course to me and I'm glad I chose it. The course was easy and informative. I recommend anyone who's traveling and looking to get their tefl certification to get started with premier. Also they're easy to reach if you're having any difficulties with the website or the course.
