Katherine is the founder and director of The Science Exchange, an organization providing sea turtle internships abroad. Before founding The Science Exchange, she spent time in the PeaceCorps, completed an internship at the University of Barcelona, and studied abroad in Granada, Spain. Katherine earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology and Spanish literature from the University of California at San Diego. She went on to earn her master’s degree at San Diego State University, and she currently works as an Adjunct Research Associate for the university’s biology department. Katherine’s personal interests include sea turtles (obviously!), travel, surfing, and snorkeling.
