Rachel Story Jakera Program Coordinator
“Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” – Mary Oliver
Rachel is an Oregon-native, a nature-lover, an adventurer, an avid baker, a passionate teacher, a caretaker, a risk-taker with a fear of the unknown (yes, somehow both), and a fierce friend. She also happened to grow up with a thirst to explore. After studying in Spain and realizing her desire to teach and mentor teenagers, she finished her master’s degree and taught Spanish for three years. When a summer trip to Cuba revived her travel spirit, Rachel accepted her position with Jakera and now lives out her travel dreams daily.
