“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.” - Mark Twain

A Midwesterner born and raised, Jake recently graduated from Iowa State University with degrees in Kinesiology and International Studies and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Health at Colorado State. As an aspiring health professional, he hopes to bring affordable and sustainable health care to developing nations. With any luck, this career path will allow him to more aptly treat his own long-standing affliction, a chronic and seemingly incurable case of wanderlust.
